Guest in the podcast "Rekommandert"
On Monday 25 March, our museum educator and historian Lasse Hermansen Bjørnland will once again be a guest on Kristopher Schaus' podcast "Rekommandert", and this time the topic is toxic wallpaper!
We quote Schau in his account of the episode:
You heard right; wallpaper. In this case, toxic wallpaper. Green, arsenic-containing decor that thankfully doesn't adorn our walls anymore, although heaven knows we were crazy about the beautiful green colour that this poison could give our homes if we go back in time. Industry, fashion and idiocy in perfect harmony.

Lasse has been a guest on the podcast once before. That was in May 2023 and the topic was more generally about Blaafarveværket. In front of a large audience at Union Scene, both Lasse and Kristopher Schau agreed early on that there were opportunities for new episodes with narrower themes. That's why it was really nice when the invitation for a new episode arrived.

Since last year, Rekommandert has moved its live recordings a few hundred metres from Union Scene to Strømsø Torg and Kometen scene. We look forward to hearing more about toxic wallpaper and hope you make the trip too.
