Special needs

The Cobalt Works is open and available to all our guests.

We have endeavoured to preserve the original as much as possible so that Blaafarveværket appears as authentic as possible while at the same time being adapted for people with disabilities.

With challenging landscapes and old listed buildings, there are challenges in some places to accommodate those with disabilities. One of the things we can highlight is our historic mining tour in the Cobalt Mines, which is adapted for wheelchairs. Both the Miner's Inn at the Cobalt Mines and the Barrelmaker's Inn at the Cobalt Works are universally accessible. We have a lift at the art exhibition at the Cobalt Works and wheelchairs on loan at both The Cobalt Mines and Works, and all locations have accessible toilets.

All car parks have dedicated spaces for wheelchair users, of course. Please feel free to contact us if you have any special questions when you visit us.

dog

Dogs are welcome with us. We have large park areas where our four-legged friends have plenty of room to run around. You are welcome to take your dogs outside in the museums as long as they are kept on a lead. At the Children's Farm, dogs must be left outside as the animals inside roam freely. Dogs are also not allowed indoors. If your dog needs water, just ask in one of our cafés and we will arrange a bowl of water.
