Summer job 2026
We are already looking forward to the summer and would like to get in touch with anyone who would like to join the team when we celebrate our 250th anniversary in the summer of 2026.
The 2026 summer season opens on 9 May and lasts until 4 October. We are one of Norway's largest tourist attractions and have approximately 150 part-time employees during the season and over 150,000 visitors each year. Blaafarveværket includes an industrial museum, art exhibitions, cobalt mines, museum shops and restaurants. The museum is located in Modum municipality, approximately 30 minutes from Drammen.
Positions/jobs:
- Shop staff for our 5 museum and souvenir shops
- Café staff in our four cafés (sales, serving, simple food preparation and cleaning)
- Employees for commercial kitchens (food preparation)
- Exhibition hosts (ticket sales, guiding, security and shop work)
- Guides both in the Cobalt Mines and at Blaafarveværket (also English and German)
- Tourist information (guide, ticket sales, telephone / switchboard)
- Cleaning of museum areas and public facilities
- The outdoor section (maintenance of outdoor areas etc.)
- Children's Farm (animal care, cleaning, service-oriented towards visitors)
Department managers wanted!
Do you have the makings of a leader? We need structured, outgoing and skilful managers in several of our departments. If you're interested in the café, shop or museum, we'd love to hear from you.
Requirements for applicant and application:
• Must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants over the age of 18 will be given priority. We do not have an upper age limit.
• Please attach your CV with your full name and address, education and work experience.
• Speak one of the Scandinavian languages.
• Tell us when you are available to work and what you are interested in working on from what we offer.
• Tell us a little about yourself, your experience and why you want to work for us.
We need both those who want a lot of work and those who want less work. Pensioners are encouraged to apply.
We can offer a varied working day in a pleasant environment. We can help you find accommodation and can offer rooms in our own houses. Applications will be processed during March 2026.
