He came to Værket in 1822. The director's house with the Ida Lorentzen Museum, the timber barn, the staff shop and the new reconstructed carriage shed frame the cosy courtyard. Surrounded by a beautiful garden with flowers, herbs, a gazebo and a carp pond, you can really enjoy peace and history in green surroundings.
