Autumn at Haugfoss and the Cobalt Mines
Even if the main season at the museum is now closed, there are still parts of the museum available for visits during the autumn. Here is information about where and when.

Haugfoss area with the shops The General Store and Madame Reiff's shop, together with Thranestua café is open every day from September 30 to October 9. Hours are 11am-5pm.
Enjoy a good lunch above the waterfalls, check out the cosy shops with lot's of tips for cold autumn and winter evenings. Fresshly ground coffee, tea, candy and plenty of interior is to be found in the General Store. In Madame Reiff's Shop you can find jewelry and minerals together with scarfs, blankets and warm accessories for cold autumn evenings.
At the Cobalt Mines and The Kittelsen Museum we are open October 6 - October 9, 11am - 5pm. The Miner's Inn are open. Historical Tour in the mines at 12 and 2pm. Open Mining Museums. We are also open the remaining three Sundays in October, 11am - 5pm. At the Kittelsen Museum this will be the last chance to see Bendik Kaltenborns exhibition in the gallery.

We will also recommend the hiking area around the Cobalt Mines. The area is specially beautiful during the autumn.
