Nyfossum - a townhouse in the countryside

”In us” - Gunvor Nervold Antonsen

This summer's exhibition in Tømmerlåven at Nyfossum will feature large wooden sculptures and textile montages. Nervold Antonsen lives and works in Rollag in Numedal and has been shown and purchased in a number of places around Norway.

In addition to this exhibition, the pupils will be given a guided tour and insight into the history of the house and garden at Nyfossum. The house was built in the 1820s as a residence for Friedrich Roscher, technical director of the Blaafarveværk, and is surrounded by a large and beautiful garden that was and is both ornamental and useful.

The class receives a dialogue-based tour adapted to the group.
