Mining shop with tourist information

Ticket sales for all guided tours in the Cobalt mines is in our Mining Shop with tourist information. This is inside The Miner's Inn at the mining yard.

The mining shop is the starting point for all our adventurous trips into the mountain. Here you will also find a selection of souvenirs and other things to do at the Cobalt Mines. If you’re trying to decide which trip suits you best, we’ll be happy to help with a recommendation! You can also get information here about two cultural trails that start here, and the nearby Mining Museums.

By the way, did you know that several motion pictures have been shot in and around the Cobalt Mines? "Magic Silver 2" was a popular film when it was released in cinemas in 2011, and large parts of the film were actually shot in the Cobalt Mines! Ragnarok is another film where parts of the recording took place in the Cobalt mines. In 2021, one of the participants in the Norwegian version of "The Masked Singer" also came from the Cobalt Mines, the "Dragon"!

For lasting memories of your visit, the Mine Shop offers an intriguing selection of souvenirs, including stones, cobalt blue glass and cobalt blue pigment.
