St. Hans celebration at Blaafarveværket

We welcome EVERYONE to a big St. Hans celebration at Blaafarveværket.

We're marking our 250th anniversary by inviting you to a St. Hans celebration at Blaafarveværket.

We’re setting up a stage between Den Blå Butikk and Arsenikkens Hus, which is due to be officially opened this evening. We’ll be firing up the barbecues so you can grill your own food from 4 pm. From the same time, we’ll also be opening an outdoor food stall, in case you don’t want to bring your own.

Bjørnis will be here at 5 pm.

At 6.00 pm, the St. Hans celebrations will be officially opened by Kim Wigaard, who will be singing. There will be speeches by both our director, Tone Sinding Steinsvik, and Kirsten Wassend from Modum Savings Bank Foundation who will cut the ribbon at Arsenikkens Hus. We’ll be drawing on the traditions of Midsummer’s Eve at Blaafarveværket from days gone by and lighting the Midsummer’s Eve bonfire under the watchful eye of Bjørnis.

At 6.30 pm, there will be children’s games and a sing-along.

At 7.45 pm, Bjørnis will come round one last time for the day if there are still lots of children left.

At 8 pm, Kim Wigaard will round off the evening with more singing.

The event is FREE, and we hope to see lots of you at Blaafarveværket this evening to celebrate Midsummer and our 250th anniversary with us.

The art exhibition, Barnas Bondegård, the shops and Bødtkerkroa at Blaafarveværket will be open until 6 pm on this day.
