Concert: T4 - Koniro & Trond Gudevold

Sunday concert in Glasshytten.

T4 is a unique musical collaboration between the woodwind trio Koniro (2014) - Lynetta Taylor Hansen (flutes), Sarah Nordal Strand (clarinets) and Ingrid Åhlander Bennett (bassoons) - and bass opera singer Trond Gudevold. Together, they create a sonorous and expressive sound where voice and woodwind meet in an innovative musical dialogue.

The repertoire consists of classical song cycles and vocal works in new arrangements by Aleksander Waaktaar, with works by Vaughan Williams, Schumann, Rangström, Stenhammar, Piazzolla and Cornelis Vreeswijk, among others. Many of the pieces have rarely been performed, and are given new power and depth by this unusual ensemble.

Since its inception in 2023, T4 has received rave reviews for its high artistic level, exciting repertoire and the distinctive expression that arises from the meeting between Trond's flexible bass voice and Koniro's diverse timbres.

With a wide range of instruments from piccolo to contrabassoon, the ensemble provides a rich and varied sound, and works closely with text and phrasing for a close and clear communication.

T4 is an exciting venture at the intersection of chamber music and vocal communication, which hits both audiences and organisers with great force.

The concert has free admission.
