Concert: Frequencies - Bente Illevold (euphonium) and David Cariano Timme (percussion)

Saturday concert in Glasshytten.

In the concert Frequencies, euphonium and percussion meet in a close and sonorous interplay. The programme consists of beautiful and evocative music - including works by Ellen Lindquist and Terje Viken, lyrical solo pieces, as well as songs and folk tunes in new sonic costumes.

The concert invites the audience into a warm and exciting sound universe. The music moves between the quiet and contemplative to the more energetic and playful.

Bente Illevold is a euphonium soloist and one of Norway's most prominent performers on the instrument. She performs regularly in Norway and internationally, and works actively to develop new repertoire for euphonium through commissions, world premieres and collaborations with composers.

David Cariano Timme is a percussionist and chamber musician based in Oslo. He works in several musical genres and performs regularly at festivals and concerts in Norway and Europe, with a particular commitment to new music and collaborations with composers.

The concert is supported by Buskerud County Council and the Arts Council and has free admission.
