Skuterudåsen’s Waterways: «Stolldammen and the 5-pot loop».
For the fourth year running, we are inviting you to join us on a walk along the waterways of Skuterudåsen. The area, which had remained untouched since 1898, has been reclaimed and restored over the last four years with roads, footpaths, gravel pits and dam walls.
The guides and director Tone Sinding Steinsvik will talk about the project as it progresses.
The walk starts from the new car park by the gate leading up to the Kobolt Mines. We’ll follow the new paths in the lower part of the Skuterudåsen waterways, taking a circular route via Stolldammen and 5-pottingen.
Ludwig Eugen Stoll will be serving buns and fruit juice at Stolldammen at around 1.00 pm. The walk is on flat ground. We recommend walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
After the event, we recommend that anyone who wishes to do so walks the entire waterway all the way up to Nordgruvene.
New information signs marking the anniversary year have been put up at the quarries, Nordgruvetjern and Kongesteinen.
